Chicago Weekend

So I drove to Chicago this weekend for the very first time by myself. Well my sister was with me but I actually drove. We went to Chicago for many reasons. We had an ATE Conference on Monday so we decided to spend the weekend with family. We were able to go shopping and see the city and get our work done in the process. Our conference was for preservice candidates (upcoming teachers). The speakers at the conference spoke about their personal experiences and what strategies we could use in our classroom to make it the best possible. I learned so much during the conference I am glad I was able to go.

While we were downtown, we went to lunch a the Eleven City Diner. This restaurant was one of the coolest places I have gone. The inside was so unique and nothing like we have here in Indiana and the food was amazing. I was soo happy to go to a downtown Chicago restaurant rather than a place like McDonalds.

I had a very good weekend. I want to go back when it is warmer so we can walk downtown more!! :)

Snow Snow Snow

So there is a TON of snow outside and I am not happy about it. It wouldn't bother me so much if school was cancelled but I have a feeling that is not going to happen. I really dont want to wake up early tomorrow and drive in the foot of snow!! I would rather sleep in and enjoy a lazy day inside!! I remember when I was little and I loved the snow now not so much. All the snow amounts to is a paranoid time driving and being stuck in the house :( I am soooo ready for spring and summer!! I want winter to go away!!
